(Evil) Sidekick Mission: Camp Evil-er-er-r

80- 96 pages of gothic fun for 8+

A vampire with fang dentures, a ghost with a hairband toupee, a surface visiting angel head, and a sorcerer sloth, attend one disastrous week of evil sidekick mayhem at CAMP EVIL-ER-ER-R

Concept: Evil sidekicks who don’t want to be evil for ages 8+

Synopsis:
Although he’s been a vampire for fifty years, Drake still looks ten. Haunted by his human past and burdened by his unvampire-like present, he is unfit for a place in the coffin council. Then Drake discovers Camp Evil-er-er-r's advertised week long evil sidekick course has apprenticeship placement with famous villains. During the course, Drake and his classmates are terrible at being evil as defined by Camp Evil-er standards. They all need to graduate and get a sidekick placement or they can’t leave Camp Evil-er, so they are forced to *GASP* work together. They become closer, sharing their feelings, and thoughts. They realize they don’t enjoy being evil, especially to each other. They don’t want to be evil sidekicks but have to graduate and maybe fulfill a sidekick destiny.

Naruto x Teen Titans Go x Sky High x The Munsters

Like Masahi Kishimoto’s Naruto (2003), Drake’s mission is to be the best evil sidekick and succeed his father. Simliar to Aaron Blabey’s ‘The Bad Guy’ (2015) character entourage, this is a middle grade story delivered in chapterbook format using the graphic novel medium with a gothic set up like Harriet Muncaster’s Isadora Moon (2016) and Laura Lavoie and Micah Player’s Vampire Vacation, fun moments like Ken Lamug’s Mischief and Mayhem (2021) and Louie Stowell’s Loki: A Bad God’s Guide to Being Good (2022). For fans of Teen Titans Go series and “Despicable Me’s” Minions.
